Our Mission
The Kankakee County Young Democrats have been in Kankakee County since October 2003. Open to any Kankakee County resident under the age of 35, KCYD welcomes everyone regardless of their political backgrounds.  All of the members have the interest of their community at heart and work hard to affect the democratic process. KCYD works hard to:

• Help eligible students register to vote
• Provide speakers to discuss about local issues
• Encourage students to participate in their local government, political campaigns,
   internship programs, etc.
• Provide a glimpse of how our government works internally

Joining KCYD will present you with a unique opportunity to participate in the legislative process in by volunteering and meeting our local government officials.
